Lee Sutherland
PGA Head Pro
Lee's passion for golf led him to begin his career in 1987 as a clubmaker with Swilken Golf Company, just as metal woods were beginning to change the landscape of the industry. Recognizing the shift, he transitioned to the professional ranks, serving as an assistant professional at Westhill Golf Club in Aberdeenshire and later at his home club, Monifieth Links, under the mentorship of PGA Professional Ian McLeod at Ron McLeod's Golf Shop. He earned his PGA qualification in 1994 and spent a decade at Ron McLeod's before becoming the inaugural Head Professional at Ballumbie Castle Golf Club in Dundee in 2000. There, he established a thriving junior program that achieved remarkable success in county competitions. In 2011, Lee returned to Monifieth Links, joining Gordon, as Joint Head Professional and partner in Ron McLeod's Golf Shop, following Ian McLeod's retirement after nearly four decades of service.
